We were discussing "suicide" one day, when a lady chimed in with this story....

A neighbour of hers (man in his late 40's), was depressed about something or other, and decided suicide was the only way out - so he threw himself off a bridge.

On his way down, he fell into a workmen's dolly, breaking his neck. He was rescued from there, and is now paralysed from the neck down.

I can imagine him standing on the parapet thinking "it cannot get worse...." - and then it did!!

He still has the same problems that caused the depression - but now he cannot even commit suicide.

Be happy with your life as it currently is, don't try to change it.

Don't look forward - or back.
