Always tell the truth - it makes for a much easier life. You don't have to remember what you told someone - you can always work it out again, and re-tell them.

Problems occur, when you may have already applied the "Tell people what they want to hear" rule. As already stated - you have to remember those.

e.g. Phyllis' husband asks you...."Were you with Phyllis in Amsterdam on the 25th May?"

	Don't reply with anything that will make them want to kill/maim you.
	Consider using the "Tell people what they want to hear" rule, and if this is not appropriate....
	Attempt to fudge/confuse/get off the subject.... This is where women are so much better at this, than men...they will answer with something like "...oh this is getting tiresome, can't we discuss something else??" or, "Yes I was in Amsterdam, but so were a million other people, why do you keep asking me??" - good tactics - "let's get off of this subject" - but men are not good at this ploy!!
	Tell the truth - if you were - you were. If you weren't - you weren't.
